The Really Good vs. The Bad & Ugly

Extreme examples of how some people might eat in a typical day...How do YOUR meals compare?

THE REALLY GOOD


Breakfast
  • Plain yogurt topped with psyillium husk, cinnamon, and a dash of honey
  • A whole orange
  • Small pot of organic coffee or tea
Mid-morning snack
  • Cup of coffee or tea & homemade trail mix
Lunch
  • Glass or two of lemon water
  • Salad or raw veggies
  • Turkey & lettuce sandwich on sourdough bread
  • An apple
Mid-afternoon snack
  • Cup of tea
  • Almonds and a piece of fresh fruit
Dinner
  • Fish Tikka with spiced veggies
  • Rice with turmeric & ginger
  • Side salad
  • Tea and/or lemon water

THE BAD & UGLY


Breakfast
  • 2 instant waffles toasted & topped with margarine and pancake syrup
  • A bowl of sweetened dry breakfast cereal
  • A glass of Soda/Pop
Mid-morning snack
  • Can of Soda/Pop & bag of potato chips
Lunch
  • Can of Soda/Pop
  • Fast food bacon & cheese double burger with extra mayo
  • Large Fries
  • Deep-fried apple pie
Mid-afternoon snack
  • Fast food milkshake
  • Chocolate bar
Dinner
  • Pre-packaged salad with ‘factory’ dressing
  • Microwaved rice & chicken from a package
  • Side of nuked french fries
  • Can of Soda/Pop or Fruit Punch
